What time do you usually wake up in the morning?

“On a typical day, I usually wake up at 6 or 6.30. Actually, I can wake up earlier than that but I have to sleep at 8 or 9 p.m. the night before.”


What’s the first thing you do when you wake up?

“I check my phone as soon as I wake up, replying the Whatsapp chats. I have to make sure everything is all set to go, especially when it comes to the project. After that, I take a shower, and do my makeup around 8 a.m. I actually only need a good 15 or 20 minutes to do my daily makeup, but I can never do that since I have to answer calls and reply chats or emails in between. Then I go to the office before the traffic gets really bad. The studio isn’t that far from my house, but it can take 30 minutes when traffic jam hits its hour.”


What do you usually do once you’re in the studio?

“I do morning briefing with my team. We would list off every single thing we need to finish or at least to do that day, and how to ace them. After briefing I will be in my office, doing my own things. I usually set any meetings after lunch hour, but if it’s quite urgent I will do my meeting while having lunch.”


During lunch break, what do you usually do, aside from having the lunch itself?

“Sometimes, I steal some time to have lunch outside the office. Maybe catching up with friends, or having a meeting with suppliers, or just having quick meetup with my business coach. Normally, I eat my lunch in the office while doing some works.”




On an ideal day, at what time do you leave the office?

“At 7-ish... Before 5 p.m., I always ask the designer team to print out their work and we go about the details. I need to make sure any changes and updates to expect so they can proceed in the next morning without having to wait for me to arrive at the office. And then, I have leaders meeting at 6 p.m. On an ideal day I will leave the office at 7 p.m., and then I go hit the gym. Gotta keep my body in shape and of course, I want to stay healthy. I’ll be at home around 9 p.m., and then I immediately take a shower, remove my makeup and change into my pajamas.”


So, after that you finally have your beauty sleep?

“Hahaha, I wish. I still have some emailing to do and Pinterest to browse. Usually I collage some mood board from my Pinterest and then send them to my staff so that they can get inspired for the job we’re working on. When it’s all settled, while putting my night cream on, I will call my boyfriend to talk about business and to catch up. The earlier I go to bed is at 11 p.m., but usually I go to sleep at 12 a.m. or 1 a.m., even. Also, I have this habit before going to bed; I plan my wardrobe to wear the next day, especially when there’s a meeting or special occasions. When the client is more of old-school type, I will keep my outfit conservative. But if the client is casual, I don’t really put effort to dress up. So, when everything is in its place, I can finally get my beauty sleep and then the routine starts again.”
